This week we honor the 50^th anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act. In this photo, President Lyndon B. Johnson is signing the bill into law surrounded by Martin Luther King, Jr., Dorothy Height, Roy Wilkins, John Lewis, and other civil rights leaders.
