Pope Francis drew large crowds at every stop of his first American tour as people gathered to catch a glimpse of the “People’s Pope” waving from his Fiat. Some even had the opportunity to hear him speak. Over 40,000 visitors flocked to Independence National Historical Park to hear Pope Francis’ address, one that gave nod to the storied national park.
